Clinical professor and specialist in psychiatry. Heads an intensive affective disorders unit at Mental Health Center Copenhagen and leads the NID-Group. His research focuses on chronotherapeutic augmentation strategies for depression, including bright light therapy, dynamic LED lighting, wake therapy, and sleep time stabilisation.

Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of OptoCeutics. Principal Investigator of the Horizon 2020 Astrotech project. His PhD research at DTU on photonics and high-speed holographic laser printing earned the European Innovation Radar Prize for Excellent Science in 2018. Leads development of the invisible spectral flicker technology used in FELIX.
